Nephew’s was born from the experience of Chef Derrick. Chef has been in the cooking business for over 35 years. He began his career at Stouffers Hotels and Resorts, receiving formal training in many international cuisines ranging from Mediterranean to Creole.
After serving there for 10 years, he became an Executive Chef for Ohio State Park Resorts. After that, he served at Hyde Park Steakhouse for 7 years.
He then went on to become a General Manager for Outback Steakhouse, where he served at 12 different locations in 12 different states.
Chef Derrick has owned two different restaurants during his career, plus a nightclub (that included a restaurant.) Chef Derrick’s experience comes from real life lessons, a deep respect for flavor, hospitality experience, and just a downright love for people!
Even though he is the Chef, it’s definitely about family and the team that makes up the flavor of Nephew’s.
